The Garfield Weston Awards for Excellence in Education is a program generously sponsored by The W. Garfield Weston Foundation, a Canadian charitable foundation, and operated by the School Performance Studies department of the Fraser Institute. The Fraser Institute is an independent research and educational research organization with offices in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. We are a registered non-profit organization, with international partners in over 70 countries. The institute depends entirely on contributions from thousands of individuals, organizations, and foundations.
